Australian dojo are authorised to grade students and award certificates up to 1st Kyu level. Suitably qualified head Instructors may also conduct dan (black belt) level gradings up to 3rd Dan and make recommendations to Aikido Yuishinkai International for ratification.  Awards beyond 3rd dan do not have a technical grading and are recommended by the Australian Chief Instructor Michael Williams Sensei
